You've got to love the ATOS response to this - never have I seen such a pile of .... well, I don't think I have to say any more on that topic!
So, presumably, you now have to be wheeled in, look close to tears for the entire performance, not have washed or combed your hair for a month, and not sign your name at the end of the session in order to qualify for benefits?

There is one flaw in that report though . It's not Atos decision makers, it's DWP decision makers . Atos only do the assessments , it's the DWP who make the decision based on their findings.
And as for public fury growing, I haven't seen it . Outside of the disabled community and their carers there is total apathy and even agreement with what the government are doing.
Well, it's back to the old argument that 'if it doesn't affect me, I don't care', I suspect. And people probably listen to the hype and spin that the government push out, saying that most people on benefits are just scroungers who don't want to work. The irony is that those who are can cheat the system and act it up, whilst those who are genuinely ill are being penalised for trying to maintain some quality of life, despite being in severe pain and losing their independence.

Horrific, but not just affecting those in Scotland I'm afraid. They have certainly damaged my mental health and the stress is ongoing now, with constant re-assessments .
