Hi Pamg

I find greasy food like chinese and fibre foods like beans sets mine off, as well as alcohol. I've never had any problems with bread or fruit except bananas, so why not try keeping a diary and to see what foods trigger your IBS. I think like most things it's different for everyone, but when I get the pain, I try to avoid carbs or any foods that make me feel bloated.

Hope you feel better and big hugs x

i too suffer with severe i.b.s and its so not nice.i rarely eat cheese,no fatty foods,no wheat,no gluten, and lots of water, green tea and salads,no fruit,

im on alot of meds for this as well which isnt so nice..

also try and keep a diary of what makes you worse and what doesnt as you can always refer back to it when needed or tell your doctor..x

Thanks everyone for your help, i will start cutting out foods and i will keep a diary. I am due to go back to the doctors so hopefully they will give me something that might help as well.

Pam

I sympathise too. I had what they thought was IBS for years. The pain at times was awful, then I went to Jersey for a week. Ate cream teas and ice creams and was I'll every night and through the night but was fine the next day.

My doc referred me to a Gastroenterologist and he asked me if i had milk on cereal for breakfast, which I did. He said milk takes 8 hrs to digest and he thought I was lactose intolerant. Well it worked, no more diary (there are lots of diary free things out there now) and I felt great. I have the odd slip up but I feel good( as far as my digestion goes anyway:-))

Might be worth looking into?

Hugs xxxx

Sadly IBS can be a bi-product of fibro!! As is ME - total exhaustion! If you

can eat boiled rice (yeugh) for a day or so it can help.

sending you sympathy
