is anyboby else finding there pain is worse with this heat its 220 am and tm sat here with a bag of peas on my knee xx
I find a dry heat is ok, but when it is very humid or damp then it is awful, I know how you feel, I think.
The pain is terrible, It started raining today, and almost immediately my hands were so painful that I could barely use them, closely followed by other joints and the rest of my symptoms, I find the only thing to do is to take the full complement of medicines, and go to bed to try to sleep.
I usually manage a few hours if I a lucky, and then it's more painkillers, and then I get up and go on the Laptop to try to take my mind off things.
Sorry I can't be more help, take care, Cazx
its the only thing that I can do people think I am stupid when I say I am worse because of the weather but then must people do not understand what we suffer? love to all

I find direct heat applied to painful area helps sometimes, but not this humid heat which makes me feel awful and attacks occur more often. Yesterdays heat and humidity brought on another attack, only blessing being it left me so exhausted I slept for several hours, but sweats, pain and nausea at night make sleeping very difficult.
I find that placing a fan so it blows gently over you helps sometimes, also use of ibruprophen ( gel in my case due to IBS but tabs if you can take them) and a tens machine can also help.
Hope you fell better soon

I find applying ice packs (peas, etc) better, rather than heat. Unfortunaterly my worse pain is in my bum, but its gone so big these days with all the sitting that I dont think it penetrates to the actual site!LOL. I too cant take Ibrufen as I also have IBS and am having a flare up of that at the moment.Bowel in spasm around the right side of waist and into my back. Went to doctors yesterday and she gave me antibiotics and told me to come back today if no better. But what's the point so I,m just taking y Dihydrocodeine and waiting for it to pass.Dont these pains move around your boday. Sure there's someone soewhere with an effigy saying "We'll move the pain here today, and there tomorrow". Crazy isn't it.
Sometimes feel the nausea and liverish feeling is worse than the pain, don't you?
Cheers.
Avril.
No I find it the opposite, the heat helps me. When I am abroad I feel so much better. I feel as the the heat penetrates right through me. I can walk further. Its when its drafty it afftects me.
