knee pain
I get a lot of knee pain but my knee cap doesn't pop back. If I was in your position, I would see my GP and have it checked out.
You've got me thinking though (haha! my head) - next time I fall asleep on sofa and wake up with agonising pain in my knees, I'll be looking for to see if my knee cap pops when I finally manage to straighten my legs!
Go well

Out of all my pains, (and they are extensive and everywhere!) my knees are the worst. Driving is my main problem as my knee often gets stuck as I am lowering the clutch to change gear. Then the gear misses and the car growls at me! :-S I could really do with an automatic but cannot afford it. I rely on my car to drive to work (part time) 30 miles away and worry how long I am going to be able to do this. My physio said not to worry about the popping as it is just air and that it happens because the muscle that is holding the knee in place is so weak do to fibromyalgia and the light exercise should improve it with time. He suggested swimming but I found this hard as my knees crack painfully with every stroke. However just walking around the pool and bending and stretching my knees carefully under the water helps to combat the stiffness although I know I have a long way to go before there is any significant improvement. I will keep at it though as I know it will keep my knees from seizing up all together if nothing else. Perhaps you too may find this helpful. Best wishes.xx
thankyou for the comments x i will try swimming to see if it will help.
