Both myself and two sisters have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia also we believe that our mother suffered most of her life ,the same fate albeit it was never diagnosed she went to her grave in pain bless her!!!!!xGentle Hugs Katimaitay
I think both my Mum and Nan had fibro undiagnosed but all three of my daughters have been diagnosed with it in their twenties. I also think it is connected with the hormones mine is much worse now I am pre menopause.
My mum had fibro, my sister has it, I have it and my niece may have it and my 30 yr old son also has a lot of symptoms , I think its hereditary x
Hi it is Hereditary was confirmed when i took part in a country wide fibro study while back because a gene line many things follow gene lines as im autistic have Asperger's my dad had some of it to they believe from what went on.
but my sister has it so do my cousins mum's side have fibro problems
There are multiple sources which state genetics are considered high on the list of possible causes (search fibromyalgia genetics in Google Scholar), but not all cases are genetic.
