if anyone doubts the hereditry link with fibro read on........

my mum who is in her early 70s had fibro while she was in her twenties............

my aunt who is in her early 60s has bad fibro and has had for years..............

i have had fibro for years.................

do i worry for my children, especially as my daughter has severe hypomobility syndrome ???

I guess it could be hereditary, I don't have any family to check back on so I couldn't really say

my mum had it 2 of her sisters have it i got diagnosed last year and now my 14 yr old son has back problems

I agree it is My Mum bless her had ME I have Fibro my daughter has CFS or ME they cannot decide I reckon it is hereditary dont you? xgins

Both myself and two sisters have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia also we believe that our mother suffered most of her life ,the same fate albeit it was never diagnosed she went to her grave in pain bless her!!!!!xGentle Hugs Katimaitay

I think both my Mum and Nan had fibro undiagnosed but all three of my daughters have been diagnosed with it in their twenties. I also think it is connected with the hormones mine is much worse now I am pre menopause.

My mum had fibro, my sister has it, I have it and my niece may have it and my 30 yr old son also has a lot of symptoms , I think its hereditary x

Hi it is Hereditary was confirmed when i took part in a country wide fibro study while back because a gene line many things follow gene lines as im autistic have Asperger's my dad had some of it to they believe from what went on.

but my sister has it so do my cousins mum's side have fibro problems

There are multiple sources which state genetics are considered high on the list of possible causes (search fibromyalgia genetics in Google Scholar), but not all cases are genetic.

No-one else in my family has fibro.
