Today I went to the pain clinic to have an assessment with their specialist physiotherapist. It was horrible, all I could do was cry! The physio was lovely and took her time explaining things but it was all so overwhelming, I understand that there is no cure for fibro but when I mentioned it to her she said 'do you honestly think that you have fibro?' - I didn't have an answer.
On the bright side she has booked me in to see her again in 2 weeks, she gave me some information about the pain management programme that they offer. I also have the pain specialist at the end of the month, who hopefully will change my medication as the ones I'm on just now are not working at all!
On the brighter side, my mum, dad and brother bought me an ipad for my graduation, which is on Wednesday!

Hi Hopefully the pain clinic will be able to do something for you. I went years ago and filled out a questionaire and done some excersises and then they told me that they didnt need to come back as it wasnt for me!!!!
I felt the pain clinic helped at the time. Kinda brainwashes you into accepting that you are ok with the pain, can cope. doesn't bother me, get on with my life.............then reality kicks in!!!
Still don't understand why painkillers are called painkillers coz they don't kill mine!!!
