Hi
Are you on Lyrica?? It has made me very clumsy, and when I am tired i lose my spatial awareness and trip/stumble and fall very easily so I have now learnt to be a bit more careful if I can at those times.
i am on them and seem to have got worse with my forgetfullnes, confusion, balance.
Oh my Wenjay, yes I am, thats very interesting. I will bear that in mind
thanks

Lyrica side effects
Dizziness -- in up to 45 percent of people
Drowsiness -- up to 28 percent
Coordination problems -- up to 20 percent
Weight gain -- up to 16 percent
Dry mouth -- up to 15 percent
Infections -- up to 14 percent
Headaches -- up to 14 percent
Accidental injury -- up to 11 percent
Shakiness (tremors) -- up to 11 percent.
The above are some of the main side effects of Lyrica, there are many more.
I was taken off Lyrica because of the extreme side effects I suffered. My balance & co-ordination are awful at the best of times. Always falling over & walk with a stick. Am dangerous in the house as I almost went head first into my TV the other day just because I stood up.
My advice to you if you are taking Lyrica & experiencing any of the side effects is to notify your health care provider. I was told to stop taking it immediately. I couldn't stand up, was shaking uncontrollably, getting suicidal thoughts, extremely upset stomach & feeling as if I was dying. Not a nice experience at all.
Hi janlicia,
I think many of us are affected by balance problems, stumbling and falling over (my favourite trick).
Sometimes it is put down our Fibro and sometimes to the medications we take to deal with our Fibro.
It's a nuisance, however you look at it. I use a stick (or two) depending on where I'm going and how I feel on a particular day. I'm not messing with my meds as the cocktail I currently have is working for everything else (except my memory).
I agree that you need to talk to your GP and then make an informed choice on how you you want to deal with it.
happy hugs, kate
The rudeness of some people is beyond me !!
