am so fed up with this blooming fm. my kitchen has needed painting for years. had a good few days so thought i'd crack on with it.......BAD IDEA!!!
managed to do coving and half the kitchen and had to give up, i ache like crazy and i know i'm going to pay for it tonight/tomorrow.
Having to ask for help isnt my strong point, i've always been quite independant (even since my dx 8 yrs ago, have had a baby and been on my own with her since i was 3 months pregnant, luckily she is quite independant for a 2 yr old) so why is something so simple as painting an 11ftx7ft kitchen so flipping hard!!!!!!! arrgghh sorry for the rant, i dont normally moan or anything, just get on with things, think am just hormonal lol xx

It's so frustrating trying to finish a job once we start, I really do sympathise with you like you, I don't like asking anyone for help but maybe if you have a few good friends then you could suggest they help you finish painting the kitchen together and you will provide the coffee and cake it might work - good luck and hope your feeling better soon. xx
hi, unfortunately our bodies just cant cope with long periods of activity especially when we put our bodies through an energetic work out like painting.... all those muscles and joints that hasn't been used in in such a manner for a long time! : )
the sugestion by finlay is a good one, there is also groups that offer their skills as a swop for one of your skilld, although not always skils it could be your time.also local church groups will often be very willing to help out and you dont have to always belong to the church just live in that community.
All you can do if non of the above feels right for you is to rest up and just take your time set a goal of a small bit at a time , what does it matter if it takes longer to do as long as it gets done.
