Gabapathen...Does anyone use this? It's just been added to my meds list

Hi I used to take Gabapentin but the pain clinic changed it to Pregablin which I have found has helped. But both of these things can cause weight gain

I am on gabapentin and they are wonderful for me. Its the best pain releif i have tried. But i think its them that has put my weight on, quite abit to be honest but i am trying my hardest to get it off. So do becareful if you start having a sweet tooth.

Im on Gabapentin 600mg morn afternoon & night. Its right what Kel says about the tablet. Sweet tooth is not the word lol. But it seems to be helping. Hope you find them ok. Hug & love to you. Helen xx

Does gabapentin make you feel tired and drowsy? Just started yesterday.........300 mg. ......3 times a day.

I was given gabapentin to take but was told to take 300 and then each week increase it by another 300mg so that in total i would be taking 900mg a day but to increase the dose over three weeks.

I'm on tramadol slow release. They do take the edge off but I have noticed quite a lot of different pain relief names on here. Are any of them an stronger than tramadol or are they all about the same? I would like to find something to actually stop the pain but I think that's just a pipedream!!

I didn't get much help from gabapentin but pregabalin does help and helped me reduce tramadol. It does make me drowsy and I agree about the sweet tooth thing. I tend to use the tramadol earlier in the day and the pregabalin later.

I have just come off gabapentin and i start taking pregabalin tomora i let you know how i get on , the gabapentin did nothink for me at all the pain was still as bad so i'm hope from tomra i will start to feel a little beta xx
