I give myself plenty of time to cross a road. But why oh why wont drivers slow a bit when they see a little old lady with stick in hand in front of them. Do they think I am suddenly going to turn into Lynford Christie and sprint the last few steps !!!!

It's a pet hate of mine that Siver. I'm a childminder and have little toddlers crossing the road, we look left and right and all that and go when there's nothing coming and then some mad driver appears going hell for leather.

It's scary when they're coming towards you at what appears to be 100 mph isn't it!!

Lol, sorry had to laugh, could just picture a little old lady hitching up her skirts and making a run for it :)

On a more serious note though, I drive and always wait till people step onto the pavement on the otherside and get really annoyed when the person behind me gets all impaitient and drives right up to my back bumper.

I wish people could be in a little less of a hurry and take a little more care!
