Hiya,

I'd not heard of Robaxin. I see it's a muscle relaxant, I take Gabapentin which is also a muscle relaxant. I just take it at night as I still work and it makes me sleepy.

Do you find Robaxin helps you?

Sue

yea sue it really does help...i also get diazapam 5 mg to take twice a day and they really help also...do you find gabapentin helps you sue?

Glad it helps you tiredallthetime.

I find Gabapentin helps a lot with my restless legs and helps me sleep too. I hadn't had a good nights sleep for a very long time till my doctor gave me those, now I sleep well and don't want to get up in the mornings lol.

I can't take them during the day as they still make me tired.

Hugs Sue xx

sue and anyone else on here...do you mind if i ask what meds you are on? xx

Really glad you're finding this forum a big help tiredallthetime. (I was just saying to someone, I'm tired all the time lately too :( )

I don't mind at all, I don't have to take any meds for fibro at the moment, I'm very lucky. I have Restless Leg Syndrome and take the Gabapentin for that along with Ropinirole. I also have an underactive thyroid and take thyroxine for that.

I take paracetamol when I get pain. I'd love to believe it would stay like this forever......

A good few people here receive DLA. Have a look through previous posts about that and if they do stop it, I would appeal.

If your daughter looks after you more than 30 hrs per week - I will check that as I'm not sure that's correct, she could try for carers allowance.

Sorry if I have given any wrong info, I will go and check it out now.

Hi, my first time here. I have a prescription for Robaxin that I have not been taking lately because I have been trying to leave all the meds that I can alone. My primary care physician, who normally tells me to try to get off medicines (prescribed by pain clinic) advised me to take it again. My left shoulder is swollen, painful, and hurts terribly. I take 15 mg of morphine every 12 hours, 5 mg oxycodone as needed (up to 4 per day), 2 750 mg Robaxin (up to 3 times per day), amitriptyline 2 10 mg at bedtime, Fetzima 80 mg once a day, and vitamin D2 50,000 IEU once weekly. I have read that most people that have fibro have low vitamin D for some reason. I have problems with my potassium level and take meds to correct this, although with what I am on my potassium should be off the charts. It is hardly over the minimum limit. My depression is a true chemical imbalance. I wonder how many people with fibro have other problems with various chemical imbalances. I think all the medicine I am taking doesn't work until I don't take them and am overwhelmed with unbearable pain. Oh, I have found that trigger point injections help, if they are deep enough in the muscle. If they are just below the skin there is no need to take them. Anyway, I wish everyone a great day and hope your pain is manageable. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
