I am not personally on Morphine tablets myself but I have read posts whereby some members are, and some have the oramorph and patches. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with your new medication.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Anne I am on Targinact which is morphine combined with something else so I don't feel sick. I haven't been able to tolerate most other strong pain relief but these are okay at the moment. Still in pain but it is bearable xx

I used fentanyl morphine patches 50mg for some time, it didn't seem to help my fibro pain. however that doesn't mean it won't work for you. wishing you all the best x

I also use Fentanyl 75 ml patches and OxyNorm or now called Shortec morphine tablets.

They most definitely work on me I now take 30 mg 3-4 times a day plus other pain melds.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I have been on Zomorph (morphine tablets) for a number of years. They have been increased over time, and I am now on 90mg twice daily, with Oramorph for breakthrough pain as needed. They can cause nausea, but the doctor can give you medication for this. Hope this helps, and that the medication helps you too.

Take care

Hi

I have been having the morphine patches for about 6 years now. It helps a little but I am still not pain free but then that is just wishful thinking that I would be. I do that that it gives you some pain relief and makes life more comfortable for you. Best wishes

I am presently on Morphine Sulf IR (instant release) Tablets at 15mg 5x/day ...

I was on a total of 240 mg ER (extended release) but I "slept my life away" day and night ~ so weaned off that to current. Obviously new lower dose is not nearly so helpful with pain, but does curb it somewhat ... (Both U.S. Meds.)

I have never experienced nausea, or other side effects beyond drowsiness, with morphine. I have taken other types of opiate painkillers, with no ill effects either, so I am quite lucky ... morphine seems to work best.

I just heard "opiates make pain worse" ... which I definitely want to ask about!?!

Good luck with your new medication and hoping it works for you without ill effects ...
