Hi Viv,
My pains are also on both sides, but usually my left side is the worst. But that's not to say that some days my right side suffers more!
As Christine says, I don't think there is a norm for FM, and I just take each day as it comes.
Hugs,
Carolanne. xx
Hi Vivien,
My pain is definitely worse on my left side, from shoulder to foot, although I also have constant pain in my shoulders and neck.
Hugs of the gentle kind, Carol xx
Thank you both No I am not worried just wondered its
no point going to the doc I think I know more than he
does and thats not a lot I get it booth sides as well but
when I have a good day?? it is worse on my left just one
of those strange things of fibro
thank you viv
hi my pain goes from both sides to just one side it jumps about all over the show but one is for sure i am never without pain love to you diddle x
Thank you Diddle, some days I think I am lucky only a small amount
of pain but that does not last come the evening and it is every where
today I have it mainly in my left side but it is all over just worse on the
left
strange thing some times you think OK I have pain but I dont feel to
ill, and then another day you have pain and feel ill as well, its very
strange cant get my head round it realy, it matters not whatever
diet you try, or whatever treatment you try, its still there does not
go, we must be a realy pain to live with I dont always tell my husband
anymore as I always seem to be going on about pain and whats
the point of worrying him, and as for other people they dont believe
you do they as mainly you look well but tired,
So this is just so great that we can all talk to each other
thank you
Love Viv
Actually no, it's not a normal part of Fibro. Many people with Fibro do have predictable regional pain, but you would expect this to be from something going on alongside the Fibro, such as myofascial pain. Pain from the central processing issues of Fibro is more random and unpredictable.
If your left side is always worst, I would get assessed by physiotherapy to check for postural imbalances and myofascial restrictions.
