I don`t think fibro causes that kind of problem hun. There are lots on here with children,You don`t say if you have sufered this way.

I have had 3 miscarriages but I put that down to the factt I have an auto immume problem(Sjogrens syndrome) and although diagnosed in feb this year with both problems I realise that the auto immune problem was the cause.

I wish you well if you are having problems hun.

I didn't have issues beyond the norm (it being completely normal to have 1 or 2 miscarriages in a row and to take up to 12-18 months to get pregnant when actively trying) and the miscarriages I did have may have been due to medications.

If you are struggling with recurrent miscarriages, I would make sure that autoimmune conditions have been thoroughly checked for. Hughes Syndrome is often misdiagnosed and one of the things this can cause is recurrent miscarriage. You can also have Hughes alongside Lupus and other conditions.

I am currently undergoing tests for infertility and they have mentioned my condition as a possible link. It could be caused by the meds you're on apparently, some can interfere with the menstrual cycle.

We have been trying for 2 yrs and have just found out that I have a very high prolactin level, which could be either due to the illness itself or the meds I have been on :(

Hope tests can shed some light on the cause for you, lots of baby dust your way and good luck xx

FM has nothing to do with fertility or miscarriages.

Putting them down to other conditions straight off is going to cause more stress of worrying if there could be something else wrong and this in turn will make conceiving harder.

I had a baby just before I was diagnosed and was fine. Then i had a MC, then another baby.

Since that time I have had 2 further MCs and another baby.

Please try not to worry as like I said this will only dampen chances of conceiving.

thyroid.about.com/cs/fibrom...

Just been doing a little research before posting, and although FM doesn't appear to cause miscarriages, FM with other conditions might. I have hypo thyroidism and FM and had a miscarriage 23 years ago and haven't conceived since.

We have to remember that every person is different, and the different variations of medical problems may affect one person, but not another. And in turn may cause one person to miscarry and not another.

Hope the above article helps! gentle hugs x

I'm not sure if there is a link but I had two miscarriages in a row and decided that I couldn't go through with another pregnancy. I do have two children prior to this but I have no idea if my fibro or thyroid problems are related.

Miscarriages are devastating and my heart goes out to those of us who have suffered. Love and gentle hugs x

I suffered two miscarriages before I had my eldest son (he is 11), I then had an ancephally pregnancy (the baby's skull had not developed properly and it's brain was being exposed - which was discovered at my 13 week scan) so I had to have a medical termination, I then had another miscarriage before I had my youngest son (he is 7). I then had to have a hysterectomy as I had a womb prolapse. I was only diagnosed with fibro 5 years ago so have no idea if any of it was related to it.
