A flare today felt like a massive electric shock went through me ,the pain i cant describe very well .

after going to sleep woke with prickling stinging and tingling ,dont know what to do with myself itchy ,exhausted but cant sleep now wide awake .hope everyone else is feeling a bit better than this

Hi Jude,

I had this for over a wlk and it drove me up the walls,I had nerve pain rite threw my body and an itch with sentive skin.I never got a propper sleep for over a wlk and i was excusted.

I went and got an antihistmeen(sorry for the spelling) and the doctor give me a cream they use for chickenpox....it did settle down after a day or so but personaly the tablets worked for me...

Hope you get some ease i no wat your going threw..

Hi Jude, i am sure we can all relate to the symptoms you describe, it can be really awful can't it. I would suggest that you go back to your GP and describe your symptoms, your meds might need changing. There are medications out there to help to relieve the symptoms you describe. I mentioned on another thread that my consultant prescribed me Methocarbamol for the symptoms you describe, this medication helps with the irritation feeling along with the muscle pains and restless legs you might have. It might be worth mentioning this medication to your GP to see if he/she thinks it might be suitable for you. I hope you get some comfort soon Jude.

Jules Sarah and Libby firstly thank you all for your time to reply much appreciated. Im still suffering today sooo tired and the prickling itch driving me insane like sparklers hitting me . went for some councelling soz spelling dosent look right there ! she recommended CBT sessions said im suffering anxiety who wouldnt with this horrid illness.im so low today , my doctor so miserable i cant talk to her dread even to go there , i cant work anymore so closing my business down as my partner is left to do all the work and he has his own business, my accountant said i should ask Doc to sign me off on the sick i dread the thought of asking her.typing emails so hard i fall asleep at pc with the light so bright , cant focus or write , just dont feel me anymore .need a break i think ! i have taken note of all your comments i will ask her when i go ,waiting for mri on 14th april.hope your all ok this evening hugs to you all Judy x
