SPLEEN REMOVED - SPLENECTOMY

has anyone had their spleen removed here and how has it affected you please? I have posted about this before so if you want to read it to save me doing it all over again i'd be grateful for any info you have on this

oh I did have an answer the first time, from a very nice person, but you are right no one has had this done.

I am totally isolated, angry, scared and to be honest terrified that this is it for me.. I am on so many painkillers, antibiotics for the rest of my life.. every day is an "ill' day.... I cant have people near me if they have any sort of an infection, its an nightmare.. I don't have any friends where I live.. I'd love a good ole gossip with someone who I can see.. i have just moved which is why I am billy no mates.. can't go to pubs.. or clubs to meet anyone.

Any ideas guys?

Hi Chrisey,

My sister-in-law had hers removed and she was like yourself...Now she still has to wear callabers but has returned to being able to go out and about again.She does have pain and gets injections in her feet every 3 mths to help.Hopeing you are feeling better soon an chat anytime.

why does she have to wear callipers Sarah, was it because of the spenectomy and are the injections in her feet because of this?
