I’m new to this form and hope for some views. I am under rheumatology for severe reynaulds and digital ulcers. Had ileprost which did not work and now on bostanten. They think there is an underlying condition but none of the bloods are suggesting any of the autoimmune conditions. In recent months I’ve developed a lot of pain in my elbows, forearms, upper back/shoulders and neck - basically everything hurts. There is no joint swelling or redness. I’m wondering if I could maybe have fibromyalgia given the severe reynaulds. Nothing else has happened to cause the muscles pain. I also have sleep issues and depression but that had been put down to PTSD. I’m not sure if is worth flagging fibromyalgia to GP or rheumatology. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.

Having past trauma can trigger fibromyalgia so if you have PTSD that could be a link in a possible diagnosis. Unexplained muscle pain, depression and sleep issues also. I have Raynauds, although not as severe as you, but it does cause pain in my ears, neck, hands and feet and I think is sometimes considered comorbid with fibromyalgia.

I would have thought it is worth discussing with your GP/Rheumatologist.

Thanks to you both. I definitely think it is worth exploring. I also get numb hands, especially when I wake up.

yes I agree. If autoimmune has been explored, there’s no or little inflammation and you have depression and trauma then it’s a definite possibility. Knowing what you are dealing with does help, so good luck.

Thanks. I will explore further. I hadn't wanted to raise in case my idea was completely unrealistic.
