No,I don't leave my house unless hospital appointments
I know how the clocks change I'm just wondering when the changes occurred? and for what purpose?, I don't begrudge having street lights, or for them being on so early, I was wondering why the clocks changed?
It's okay I have researched and now know
The clocks were changed for the war effort 1916, because it might preserve fuel, It was believed Then in 1972 we just carried on changing the clocks back and forth, Not just uk either,
Unfortunately I do not work anymore, I had to give up bus driving,
I wondered why I was in chronic pain and so very very tired all the time,
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and now in a wheelchair due to old back injury and Arthritis in my hips and knees and the fact I can only walk (shuffle) about 4 steps when my lego feet or sciatica kicks in,
also the clocks change as we go into winter then in spring they go forward, It’s to keep the time zones. This is done to make the most of the shorter days and darker mornings of winter by allowing people to enjoy more daylight in the morning.
This is something argued about since forever. It's for folks in Scotland or something? Given we like the Scots, most of us, the explanation tends to shut us all up. Mustn't be mean to our cousins, hey?
Regarding actual street lights, many people have none of course, others who had them are now losing them and us what had our changed to LEDs find them pretty useless. Here the powers what are very clever, removed lots of the lamps and made the remaining LED ones.
Once this was done we discovered the pool of light offered by an LED lamp is very small and weak compared to the nice old soda ones of the past. Oopsie? But it's OK because we are saving money.
You have to learn to eat your carrots and trust your intuition if you must go out after dark, and pray that the dogs didn't poop where you are about to put your feet. Or I suppose we could all buy torches? Remember to use the tiddly mobile phone torch? Ugh, sometimes I do miss the good old days.
