am I right in saying, these go along side tens ??, depending on what type of pain, and where, to be honest I don’t think I would waste my money, tens do help sometimes.

Yes it goes along with Tens and I didn't get any help from the patches

A few years back my local pharmacy let you borrow one for a week but unfortunately it did nothing for my pain. As with everything what helps one doesn't necessarily help anothor. If you decide to purchase one I hope it works for you.x

Thanks I am still unsure and the cost is a bit much for me

Yes it is so difficult when money is tight. I found a Tens machine helped me but only with certain types of pain.x

Hi, i recently bought one of these Paingone plus pens. It took me a while to get used to the sensation, it feels like little prickles to me. I use it alongside all the other stuff i take for pain, like ibuprofen, freeze gel, volterol etc. I cannot say 100% that it takes the pain away because i use it with other things, but i do get relief. Its easy to just pop it inside my hangbag when i go out. The one thing i did notice was that it leaves little red dots all round my knee (which is my worst area for pain) and then this area becomes itchy and warm, so as i said, the jurys out for me really, its one of those things we try to get some relief, its not for everyone.

Tens..... stands for transcutaneous electronic nerve stimulation. It blocks the pain receptor at point of source ie where you put the machine it doesn't really work for fibro. Fibro pain seems to be the brain telling us there is pain in places it shouldn't be where as tens treats the area that's inflamed.

However there is the placebo effect if you think it will help then it might . Anything is worth a try because it might help some people.

Have you got a tens machine ? If you have my osteopath says once you have used it to take pain away then use 20-30 mins daily should help . I bought a medical grade Tens they are so much better than the cheaper ones .

I have had two or three different types over the years. I find they help with pain in my shoulders, head pain, nausea(used on inner wrist) . I find they help with one area at a time, maybe just a knee or elbow etc.I had to get a different type as my hands were too painful to keep pressing the 'clicker'. The one I have now works constantly without the need to keep clicking it. They call them an accupressure pen.

On the whole I would give one a go if your budget allows.

I use mine alongside all the other pain killing aids as well as a tens unit and it is useful to take out in hand bag.

I searched and found one on ebay for less price. Good luck.

Hi I found that it did work but it wasn't big enough so I wouldn't recommend it tens pads and TENS machine tend to be much more worth it because you can put them on leave them and relax with the pen you've got to be using it all the time so using energy that you really haven't got, get a TENS machine take care
