HiI've been plagued with Fibromyalgia for about 10 years with sitting down for any length of time causing my feet to swell and be extremely painful - I'm taking 60mg of Duloxotine supplemented with Cocodamol and I'm trying to reduce anything which is known to cause inflammation and the main culprits seem to be in lots of foods - Particularly the likes of processed seed oils and Maltodextrin. Can anyone suggest any course of action regarding the foot swelling ?

Swollen feet
I get terrible hands and feet swelling due to my body holding on to too much water. I take bendruflomethizade which is a water pill from my GP and it’s on prescription only x
We all do it!
We Google or forums before we go to our GP.
Naughty naughty, Try and get an appointment or walk-in centre, The swelling maybe something or nothing, If it's new always notify,
Better safe than sorry,
Take care

I have plantar fascitis along with fibromyalgia. Not sure which is worse or if one is caused by the other. Diet plays a big part. Best thing I've found to help is one of those deep muscle massagers. I'm on my feet all day at work. Also wear shoes with supportive insoles. It's has improved over time. I couldn't sit in a cinema and watch a film at one point. I now get an attack maybe one a week at bedtime.
Hi
Sorry finger slipped, and went before I could answer. 🙄 I was going to say I have been suffering tight swollen feet, but it when walking, which is weird, they feel soo tight, a new thing, and had fibro for 19 years now. Going to mention to docs as have appointment in couple weeks for something else. I would mention to your docs about it, as if water, they could give water tabs, but sometimes related to other things as well. x
Hi there 😊 . I think you should get checked over by your GP as your body could be holding water and there could be other reasons why this happens. I take water tables due to the same problem which was caused by my blood pressure which i was not aware of. Water in feet or hands should always be checked out. We offen think fibromyalgia is the problem when all new symptoms should be checked out. Just to be safe . Good luck 👍 and take care.
I also moisturise my feet everyday when they feel tight. Makes a massive difference and feels so much better
I find that laying on top the bed with feet up on the headboard most nights for 15 mins has cured the swollen ankles I started to get. Feet have to be higher than your heart.
I am bed bound due to severe chronic pain with fibro, endometriosis and a whole lot of other issues, my whole body is swollen even the glands in my neck, I have severe pitting oedema (swelling) in my legs I've had it for nearly 10 years, my doctor thinks it could be down to heart problems so I would definitely say get it checked as it hopefully is just water retention and they can give you water tablets but always good to check with any inflammation as its your body telling you something is off.
