so i have been suffering with this since i had a bad car accident and the pain started instantly, over 2 years I have suffered mostly in silence and this has made me depressed. The pain is constant and I cant remember the last time i wasn’t in actual pain from kneck onwards.
My kneck is the worst in the mornings and my back,I feel achy in my arms and hands all the time.
My lower legs , ankles and feet just burn and ache,I get random sensations.
I’m sick of relying on pain relief,it’s getting me so low and I already suffer with ptsd anxiety and depression anyway but this fibromyalgia is affecting my life so much.
Sometimes I just get so fed up with it,why won’t it just go.
even standing causing me pain, holding a pen causing me pain, even holding my phone.
I didn’t even know such thing existed.
Just wanted to share this with other people who suffer with this.
Thank you

I don’t know if you read, and are interested in the science of Pain, but I have just finished ‘The Painful Truth’ by Monty Lyman ( got it second hand for c.£5 to read in the bath) and , as if that wasn’t enough, now just quarter way thru ‘Explain Pain’ by Lorimer Mosley and Butler, -that I downloaded free as PDF. The latter has lots of very amusing drawings on every page. Basically explain that most chronic pain is our brain, and nervous system, not working as should …how/why ( tho Lyman admits fibromyalgia is rather odd as all over and moves around), and it’s a protective mechanism gone wrong. I think Mosley with have some self help suggestions when I get there. My fibro was post septic shock/ acute pancreatitis and spell in Intensive Care 10 years ago, but 30 years before that had chronic vertebrae problems ( some pain but it was vertigo, faints and fits that were most disabilitating) and had already learnt some protocols to deal with it…including regular trips ( every 6-8 weeks) to very gentle McTimoney trained chiropractor to keep neck to hips, and ribs, plus knees/ ankles/ arms relaxed. I also swim 5x a week ( can’t walk as have postural hypotension from Long Covidwhich gives me faints)…that gently stretches everything and gets me out for the day!
I posted yesterday about antidepressants helping fibromyalgia pain. You might be interested in some of the replies. My fibromyalgia also started after a car crash and resulted in ptsd and anxiety as well as more recent depression. Hope you pick up soon.
This 💩💩💩💩 Fibro is a selfish, heartless and a total pain in the rear, head, shoulders torso and whatever else is a proverbial nasty 💩💩 that zaps me of any "normal" people stuff,

I'm still looking for effected pain relief, I will keep going until a cure is found or the next generation will help those that have not lived, They just existed,
The numbers are rising all the time and we won't be left to suffer,
