I'm just curious as to whether anyone else gets a flare on the build up to a full moon? I've noticed that for the past full moon and this present full moon I've had a flare. Is thus something real or just coincidence? Also, after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia for 5 years, I still question myself about having to take time off work, even though I know deep down I just physically and mentally am unable to. Does anyone else feel like this?

Hiya, the full moon always affects me. I've always suffered from migraines during this time and the last few years I've been getting fibro flare ups. My whole body feels heavy and I feel weighed down physically, mentally and emotionally. It's crazy!
Morning I noticed about 15 years ago that my health would change with the seasons and was told it was just seasonal depression amongst other things so I started making notes in my dairy to when these flares were happening. As the years went on I found that I was only getting 3 months in the summer were I felt human or normal. I was labelled with fibro 5 years ago and haven't worked since because of how it affects me physically and mentally and on top of that I've was diagnosed with head and neck cancer after having covid!! . I've given up with doctors telling me lies and putting me down so I've made the choice to stop working and am now having to jump the hops of the benefits system just to get by it hard to get PIP when fibro isn't really recognised as a health issue in my view. Good luck hope you can make the right decision on when to call it a day on holding a job down and putting your health first
Evening Pdady,
your P.I.P shouldn't be based on the name of your illness although it's being recognised more as time goes by, they look to see your how your illness affects you,
I found it was easier on my P.I.P then U.C, I'm not even thinking of the next time I have to do the forms until 2027 and I haven't had any thing since 2019, Hopefully it will be my last form and I have more ailments now, I know it says to contact if your circumstances change but I worry my enhance mobility will change to standard, they've done it before,
Hope you don't have too much stress and good luck with it all
Take care

I understand what you are saying deb but as you'll probably know its hard to explain what you are going through on a daily basis and how this thing affects us .my problem is I've always worked and I don't want to give in to this health issue and if your having an okay day when been assessed its hard to get your points across to these assures .you could be okay sat in that roombut within an hour you can crash like a lead balloon to many people play the system which makes it harder for us to claim in my view. plus I think it's harder for men to prove what is happening as I feel as if they judge you as just been weak or a hypochondriac 😄 .I'm awaiting to be assessed again some time soon and have held off because of my cancer treatment since July last year simply because I haven't got the energy to deal with these people I've just been accepted for a blue badge because my mobility has become that bad the hole scoring system needs looking at .I'm up early today because the cold has got to my body and can't lay in bed any longer. As for stress I avoid at all cost nothing is that important anymore xx
Yep! A researcher called Gay Gaer Luce wrote about the effect of the moon on clams in her book on body time. . I read it decades years ago and have been more inclined to notice the effect on me coming up to full moon. It seems to be a lot about fluids in the body and also, as the nursery rhyme 'Boys and girls come out to play' is an echo of that innate human understanding down the centuries! A full moon can indeed make you wakeful.
Possibly your flares do co-incide to a greater extent than you had considered possible. ... It's not all moonshine and pople have observed the effect for centuries.... If only we could learn to harness these things to work with us! - Also, the effort it takes to record all thee things is beyond our real scope given our 'prime ability' to sink under the influence of a flare.
