I was first diagnosed with widespread chronic pain syndrome and also complex regional pain syndrome. After two more visits the rheumatologist then added a diagnosis of fibromyalgia basically to cover other symptoms like fibromyalgia fog and fatigue etc. I have a number of other problems from severe osteoarthritis and perhaps psoriatic arthritis. Chronic pain syndrome is often interchangeable with fibromyalgia and my consultant letters reflect this. Personally I think your diagnosis of fibromyalgia still stands but your rheumatologist as given a cover all diagnosis until other conditions are ruled in or out.
But the strange thing is he gave me tbe info booklet of fibro, the things I told him, he wrote in tbe letter totaly opposite things, he missed most of the things I said, now I"ve got the diagnosis of chronic pain syndrom and mild joint hyper mobility of joints and flat feet. Will be asking the questions to GP surgery and might send an email to hospital. Thank you.
Hi Jenny,Yesterday I called the Pals team and asked them to help, told them been 4 years of widespread pain and fatigue plus loads of other things that makes life so difficult, I said nowadays we can get all the help from nhs website, i askes them to help me in this matter. This visit is taking me 5 years back, not possible to go through with appointments again, explaining everything everytime to GP. Plus everytime you go surgery different GP sitting there. So lets see 🤞
