Chronic pain and injustice study

Hi everyone,

my name is Craig and I'm a Trainee Clinical Psychologist with the NHS. I am currently recruiting individuals living with chronic pain to take part in my study as part of my clinical training.

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has participated in my study so far! We are about 40 participants away from our target before the study closes at the end of February.

The aim of the research is to better understand the link between injury, injustice, and pain. I am hoping to publish the results in a pain management journal to help guide future research for those living with chronic pain.

To be eligible you need to:

> have experienced pain for 3 months or longer

> have experienced a previous injury; for example, accident at work, fall, car collision, burn, sporting injury etc..

Participation would only take around 10 minutes of your time and can be accessed via the link below (please copy and paste in to your web browser if the link does not work!) πŸ‘‡

All of your responses will be completely anonymous.

Many thanks for your considered participation and please send me a message if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Craig

Hi, yes I will publish the results on the forums here.

I am happy to share the research paper with anyone too and I can be contacted via e-mail where I would be happy to share a copy: b1225631@live.tees.ac.uk.

The thesis should (hopefully) be fully written by this summer.

Hello,I'm not sure if I had an injury, I was caring for my late mother and transfering her without help hoist, during that time I developed pain in my R shoulder and arm which continues to this day. I'm waiting for an MRI since last September and only just given an appointment in mid February.

Hi there,

you would still be eligible to participate if you feel your pain may be related and/or caused by moving and handling.

Best of luck with your scan, I hope you can obtain more clarity over what is going on.

Take care,

Craig
