Fibro or MS.

Hi,just wondering has anyone had a diagnosis of ms after year's of thinking it's fibro.Had a brain scan as main symptoms are constant headaches and fatigue.Was shocked when the Dr said their were possible sign's of ms.Had a lumbar puncture 2 weeks ago so haven't heard anything yet,has anyone else had this experience.

Hi, I was diagnosed with fibro in 2011 and am currently being tested for MS. Like you I suffer with bad headaches, waves of debilitating fatigue and I also get intense pins and needles in my legs which cause numbness.

Hi, I have pins and needles on my right side,leg only.Came on suddenly in 2007.Hoping to find out soon if is ms,the symptoms are similar to fibro.x

Hi SuegaultMy main symptoms of fibro were headaches, fatigue and pins and needles / tingling. Both my brother and niece have MS although their symptons were not headaches and fatigue - it mainly affected their eyes and balance.

You say that you have thought you have had fibromyalgia for years - was this formally diagnosed? Presumably you would have had lots of tests then? I was sent to a neurologist because of the family MS connection and had an extensive consultation and MRI scan to rule out MS.

Hopefully, you will get the answers you need shortly and the results of your lumbar puncture - can you look these up yourself on the NHS app?

Hi, my GP at the time tested the point's of pain and diagnosed shortly after by a rheumotolist.That was 7 years ago but had pain year's before that.I was told 2 weeks to get results but could be longer.Ive got the NHS app but it's not there yet.Thanks for your reply.x.

It does seem to take ages to get results and I can never seem to find anything on the NHS app! I think both my brother and niece had their MS diagnosis from an MRI scan. Hope you get your results soon. ♥️

Fatigue seems to be the main symptom for both.Numbness and pins and needles too.Have to wait for results of lumbar puncture to find out.
