I’ve been reading here that quite an amount of people are concerned about either the process of first applying for PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or having a review coming up because their PIP award is near to its renewal/review date.
I have just been reading about new PIP rules that it seems will be brought in by the DWP in August this year.
This new PIP AR2 form can be seen here: rightsnet.org.uk/pdfs/PIP_A... which as mentioned will come into use next month.
This 'light touch review' which we've heard about for a while is mainly for those with an award in place who are very close to or over state pension age, or with very stable or high level needs which are unlikely to change or may worsen. At this stage we don't know whether it will be available electronically.
The PIP AR1 form used for other reviews will continue as usual.
