Hello, I hope members who have been done the route of claiming PIP will come along with some helpful advice from their own experiences. Now you have your diagnosis from Rheumatologist/or doctor hopefully that will help you move forward, good luck .
thank you
thank you
Definitely apply for PIP. If you take a look at my previous post you will find links to Guides to help you complete the forms. Remember it's not the diagnosis that means you qualify for PIP. It's how it affects your mobility, mental health and the specific daily living activities that they look at and award scores for.

your right up to a point. To claim PIP you have to meet the claiming requirements criteria on the daily living and mobility part of PIP. Reading the information on the benefits and works site is very helpful but most is only available to subscribers members only access. The PIP self test is free and will give you an indication if you would qualify but taking the self test you have to be totally honest with yourself because if you do apply for PIp you will have to justify your answers at your assessment.
thank u for your reply
FMA UK benefits team can send you guidelines on applying for pip
that would help thank u
Apply but you will need help.
My wife as a number of conditions. When she first applied my wife simply put down that she was under investigation by rheumatologist for...........and then listed symptoms. A diagnosis can help however it is how the condition affects your life. A diagnosis does not guarantee an award.
