Hi all , this heat doesn't help does it.

I'm currently getting ESA and was put in the support group for people with limited capabilities for work . They said that I didn't have to look for work.

Yesterday I received a capability for work questionnaire to fill in . I don't understand why if I've already been assessed and out in the support group.

Can anyone help please as I'm very stressed out.

Hi , I wasn't given a length of time I was just told that I was in a support group and didn't need to look for work. I'm guessing that it's just normal that they check every now and then and need updating ? It's been over a year . It does say that they only contact you periodically in 3 years

DWP don't specify a time period any more on ESA claims. They can re-assess you whenever they like. You need to make sure you complete the form and return it before the deadline, with any new evidence you want them to take into account. If you get PIP, the PIP assessment will be taken into account for ESA.

If you take a look at my previous post you will find links to Guides to help you complete the form

Perhaps if DWP stopped chasing those on long term awards they would get through the huge back log.

Bananas5 People don't take the time to read people's bio when replying to messages.I'm sure, they weren't aware of it. I wouldn't read too much unto it .

I do apologise sincerely. Mrdiagnosis is completely right. I didnโ€™t read the info beforehand. Il be more careful from now on x

It's not on their bio . So you wouldn't have seen it anyway. I was just saying we're all busy and sometimes your in a hurry to help so we don't look at all the information. There's not many unkind people on here so no need to apologize. We all do it . Xx

oh, thank you for that๐Ÿ˜ŠI did feel awful. Iโ€™m a carer and after I read it I was feeling that, although Iโ€™m not a carer for people who are blind, I should have been more aware of individual situations. Yes, it is because I for 1 am eager to reply to posts to hopefully help/support others and often it is when I take 5-10 minutes in the morning before I go to work. Thank you again for clarifying that to Banana and I hope you have an enjoyable evening x

This has happened to me before & it was mistake. Don't stress give them a call & they will reassure you that you don't need to complete the form.

You know what it's like JustJaxx , I hate talking to them I just get in a muddle and am physically feeling sick about it. Why do the most vulnerable people get treated the worst ?

Happened to me also I called them and was informed to complete it and return it. Then after a couple of months of worrying and calling several times i was informed it was a mistake I shouldn't have received it.

So they put you thru all that for nothing . Never an apology either hey !

Pollyposh1 profile image
Pollyposh1โ€ข in reply toMrdiagnosis

Nope nothing just to say it was an error. I honestly don't think half if them know what the other half is doing as like I said I was told I had to complete it at first then told it was a mistake. I just saw your update and have to agree with you shambles. Good luck hope it works out OK for you.

Just an update. Thank you to everyone who has replied. I spoke to them this morning. After being out through to the same person twice who couldn't help ๐Ÿ˜” and was told that I was giving them the incorrect address (as if I didn't know my address and where I am) they were looking at someone else ๐Ÿ™„.... They said that it was sent out just to get an update on my situation. So it's correct and I have to fill in this 50 page form AGAIN. When I was working I didn't have to continuously prove that I was fit to work ....the most vulnerable people get treated like scum and they don't understand the ramifications on your health by not being believed . I know they have to weed out those who aren't being truthful but with all the medical information they have from me it's not getting any better. The guy off the TV and the last leg show said it in one sentence. "I'll give the DWP a way to make thier jobs easier " " This shit doesn't grow back "

Meaning limbs lol lol

Hello yes iam in support group and was sent another form to fill out 11 months after I applied for esa from incapacity benefit then they lost the form and had to fill out another as they lost it . But I read an article in disabled news service quoting gov saying people on universal credit and esa will come under increasing pressure to start stay and succeed in work with a new white paper about possibly forcing all claiments of esa universal credit disabled benefit having to go and see work coaches even if you are unable to work it scared the he'll out of us to think how they started treating disabled or how they call us economic inactive like rubbish so fed up with scum gov and dwp rant over I feel like crap with pain loss of sleep anxiety dread what they forcing on us next pushing people to suicide

I`m really sorry with what you`re going through. The UK government and other governments around the world want the disabled and elderly to commit suicide so they don`t have to pay out benefits and pensions. Look up David Icke, Paul Hellyer etc and the New world order, Agenda 21, World Economic Forum etc. It`s not conspiracy theory, it`s happening.

Nothing and no one is worth taking your own life over. I've been to that place of desperation and it is the worst place to be. I'm never going back there and will fight tooth and nail before anyone thinks they will contribute to making me feel that way again.I feel sad and empathy for those who decided that there was no other option than to end their life ,having felt like that myself. No one , no one should have to experience that amount of pain .

Please if anyone is feeling like that reading these posts reach out and talk . There are genuine people who will listen. Sometimes that's all you need.

I hope everyone that gets suicidal thoughts does what you did and realises their life is very valuable and stays alive. Do not give those evil psychopaths in governments that do not care about us the satisfaction of ending our lives just because they think we don`t have value. Life is sacred.

Hello Mr diagnosis, I was put in the support group about 8 years ago. They've never contacted me since. Admittedly, I changed address & called them to give the details. I was told off for not telling them about other diagnosis's I had since then. A week later I received a letter from them to my new address which also stated that I need to let them know and their classification of me as severely disabled & entitlement to a higher level of weekly housing benefit ๐Ÿค” It's all new to me!

Please update us if what you're having to do is now the 'new norm' All the best ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜

Oh dear, it happened to myself and my husband, one day everything's fine,

The next thing is they want us all on universal credit, no more housing benefit you have to pay it,It does give you a certain amount of what you need. It's never enough. If you are already on P.I.P thank your lucky stars.

Again it depends on your cercs but they are getting worse (they are always dwp) lieing cheating BAยฃ$%&* You have to take a really big breath and get an appointment with your local CAB and I'm sure there is a benefits adviser on here somewhere too,

Good luck and take care
