As the title suggests yes I have just had Covid again for the 3rd time and now I have a chest infection , I’m feeling really fed up because previous too getting the Covid I have just started a new job , thankfully they have been brilliant and understanding, I have been off for two weeks now and I want to go back to work on Monday, only I think I am going into a flare I can’t win. I’m feeling fed up with myself.
Best wishes and gentle hugs 🤗

Awww Jane so sorry to hear your not well That's a downer just after starting a new job. But hopefully after a few more days of rest you will be ready to start back to work on Monday. Fingers crossed the flare up of fibro will be a short lived one and will calm down as you recover from the covid. Wrap up warm stay safe xx
Oh poor you , gentle virtual hugs coming your way!Are you on anything to help with the chest infection such as antibiotics ?
I can completely understand that you are eager to get back to work , especially as you just started a new job , but unfortunately, I do think if you still have a chest infection , or the remains of post COVID chest symptoms effecting your chest and breathing I think you would be better taking the opportunity to stay off work at least for another week to recover more , realistically two would be better.
Luckily , your employer sounds like they are understanding and aren't pushing for you to come back , I have a feeling it is your hardworking nature and wish not to let them down that is making you want to return on Monday .
If you are beginning to flare , however and still have a chest symptoms going back too soon could mean you will make these worse and rather than being off for just one or two extra weeks as you recover properly, you could end up with more severe symptoms that could last a long time and keep you off work much, much longer.
So, I'd suggest take the extra time and Self Care to get stronger , especially if you are still on any antibiotics or other medication for your chest or still suffering from post COVID breathing issues and a flare.
If you aren't trying them already the COVID slow breathing exercises done a few times a day which you can see on various videos on YouTube are also helpful for flu and clearing chest infections too so these could help speed up your recovery . It is also similar to the relaxation breathing treatment that can help nerve pain , palpitations and physical anxiety.
Drink as much water , and warm drinks as possible . Green tea of any flavour sweetened with a little honey and added lemon is very soothing and also antibacterial. Extra vitamin C and D will help on top of a combined vitamin and mineral supplement after a meal each day to help build your strength up.
Heat pads on the chest while breathing can also improve the movement of any congestion.
Paracetamol at regular intervals through the day on between the usual medications.
And rest is best to allow the flare to settle and give your body all the energy to heal.
Hope you feel better soon ,,and good luck with the new job ,,Bee
