I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 30 years ago, under the treatment of several different rheumatologists. M y current rheumatologist recently told me, that he didn't think I had fibromyalgia but instead diagnosed me of having polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR). I don't know what the connection between fibromyalgia and PMR. However, I had a dramatic reduction of pain, when the doctor prescribed that I take prednisone.

Glad you have had the reduction in symptoms. There is no connection between PMR and fibro apart from they are differential diagnoses i.e. they can be mistaken for one another.
