Good morning minka, may I ask what has your doctor said was wrong with your legs?
Can I also ask why you were taking prednisone. That kind of medication would not normaly be prescribed for fibro.
I understand feeling stiff in a morning and having trouble with my legs. But I do have back issuies.
I think you need to go back to your doctor and explain things have changed for you over the last 3 months. How long have you been diagnosed with fibro?
Hello Minka, I agree with Dizzy do keep in touch with your doctor , Winter time stiffness I call it with my fibro and certaintly warm baths , heat pads etc really help, can I ask do you live with someone? As if you are struggling with your walking having someone in the home is a big help, differently get into see your doctor and take care .
Yes, sadly The Quack probably is your go-to for this. If you can get an appointment?
Thoughts?
Dry mouth? Think Hydration first. Drink more water-Eat less sugar. See if that helps? Won't do any harm! Do you eat too much salt? Salty snacks? Could upset the balance?
Christmas is dreadful for getting us into bad habits. Mm, snacks! Every blooming year!! Could be dietary if symptoms are since Christmas?
Also, is your diet healthy? Tummy working OK? If not, you know what to do. You have to fix it. We need all our nutrients esp dealing with fibro! I mean, if you like obviously!
If you are missing vitamins etc through poor diet, vegan diet or poor absorption you can get weird symptoms.
Do some reading. Googling can be fun. So long as you don't go silly scaring yourself with ideas like you have the plague or some such scary?
Learn about stuff like diet and nutrients and find what suits you.
Think about stuff like B12. Vegans and those with poor tummies can get deficient over time.
Lots of people are now saying, eating meat is helpful to keep on top of our nutrition requirements. As someone Ex Vegan, I have to reluctantly agree. I think it can be 2 years before a B12 deficiency becomes noticeable in symptoms so most Vegans or those with poor tummies, don't make the connection.
There is a lot we can do to make our fibro more bearable. Noting symptoms can guide us to what needs doing. Not all fibro pain is inevitable. Don't forget, over doing some vitamins can give odd side effects too. Vitamin A for example? Also found in liver. I can vouch for too much not being a good thing.
Just a little food for thought?
Something to consider while waiting for your appointment maybe?
