Hate this pain
In one way it was a relief when I got my diagnosis as things I had been experiencing made sense, I try and pace myself as best I can as it certainly helps too ease off at times during the day and take mini breaks, if I have a day where I don’t feel so good I tend too rest more as pushing just makes me feel worse, I do take medication that helps with pain, never without a good soak in the bath after tea to relax my body (and I do notice I ache more if I don’t). I still try and organise going out if I’m up too it on the day (sometimes it doesn’t work out) not for lengthy periods but having a little outing keeps me positive. Lastly surround yourself with family/friends that understand what it’s like too live with a condition and ditch any that don’t show the empathy , we chat here as we totally get it , I feel better in knowing I can talk and also listen to others here giving some support xx
Its a bit like grief. You never think that you can cope with it but gradually it becomes part of you life . Good luck
Having fibro makes you realize how strong you really are and who are your real friends are. It's tough - I often have a little cry about it - but you will find ways of making things better. Being on here is one of them, so that's a positive start. I wish you all the best, and keep chatting!
