It's been a tough day. I just feel awful, legs and feet ache, and no energy. I want to do stuff but my body won't let me. So I feel let down by my own body, and it makes me sad that this is how it is now.

Struggling part 2
It's hard when you feel like this. It's not just the physical stuff but it affects our thoughts and feelings, our self esteem and relationships. It strikes at every aspect of our lives and even our identity at times. We can even turn on ourselves through guilt, frustration, shame and embarrassment. Severe pain has left me feeling angry even. Please be kind to yourself as you would with a beloved friend 🙏💕
Hi lovely, yes I repeat everything Elaine says. You are not alone as everyone on here can identify with what you are feeling. I can barely drag myself to the shower right now with chronic fatigue 😩 remember you didn't ask for this so be kind to yourself and enjoy the good days when they come and they will. Take care x
Hi Debra, hope you are feeling a bit better now. Understand what it is like, have often felt that way. Used to be far more active. My husband used to tell me that if I exercised more I would get fitter and do more, he had no idea of how that was not a good idea or possible. At least with a proper diagnosis people realise you are not imagining things or making it up.
Yeah same, although I get angry too. My leg pain has been flaring for the last week. So ive missed a BBQ that I wanted to go to at the weekend. I'm trying to be kinder to myself to try claiming it down. Hopefully you will feel bad to your normal soon 💖
Have you tried serotonin, you can get it through htp, valerian etc, its natural, and it can help a lot if your serotonin balance is off and it contributes towards or causes fibro in some cases. That can help with feelings of sadness and how you feel physically. I do that sometimes to feel a lot better. It also helps me feel calmer and helps me to sleep.
I shall look into it as my sleeping is terrible and has been for weeks xthank you x
You are very welcome Debra. It's a complicated subject though. Look up all of the natural herbs etc that include serotonin, then you will move on from there and find what works for you. I found that I could not do it every day. Your doctor can also give you anti depressants which are based on unnatural factory made serotonin which you take daily. Its supposed to help with mood, sleep, aches and pains etc. They have done a lot of research into it and found that most who have fibro have a lack of serotonin in their body.
Ok . Its what I would do. Never take any drugs without researching them and knowing their side effects and problems first anyway, I've had a lot of problems because of drugs. My fibro came on after taking a drug called montekulast.
