I've had fibro whatever for4 years or so now. I'm tired all the time, ache all the time, have little or no energy several days a week, and suffer one form of pain or another pretty much 24/7.
I don't go to the dr's any more, as I cannot be bothered. They do nothing for me anyhow, as they are too busy catching up on 'private work'. A non medical nor clinically trained individual, on the telephone, asking me 'what is wrong' before THEY decide whether I get a face to face appointment, or telephone one.
Why everyone tolerates this disgustingly shocking behaviour from a dr's surgery, frankly is beyond me.
These clowns cannot switch entirely to private patients, as they would not last a month. So why should NHS patients be treated so rudely, shabbily and poorly????
Ok... rant over.

Going to lock this post as it is too close to being political.
But some points to keep in mind
# GPs are working longer hours than most people realise
# September 2021 had gps doing 2 million more consultations than in Sept 2019
# 6% less GPs than in 2014 while 10% more patients so ratio is worse
# One in Seven GP posts are unfilled
You say you do not visit them but giving grief for not being able to visit them. They are having to do triage for the reasons mentioned above. Medical secretaries may not be health professionals like doctors but they are more than just secretaries and are trained in triage although I am sure there is variability.
Understand you are frustrated but the issue is not with GPs but with the way other aspects are being done but to talk more about that would be even more political.
