As expected, it was only a short piece with nothing new or unexpected..... But good to have it mentioned and raising awareness

Hubby actually commented that Dr Ranj must have read FMA UK patient booklet because some of the information sounded like it had been taken directly from there lol 😂 😂 😂

the emphasis was really on point and I think it was covered very well. Expanded on points and did the caveats etc as required. only bit I winced at was the "pain in specific points" but it was fine.

Morning live only do short sections on all their topics, and never really go into depth - so yes, longer would have been good, but it was about what I expected

I remain extremely annoyed that long covid is what it has taken for the medical profession to acknowledge and show interest in people suffering fatigue conditions.

I was one of what sounded like a number of people who had written in after Monday's show (and an earlier feature) that referenced ME/CFS abd other conditions as having similar features to long covid, particularly brain fog. But did not mention fibromyalgia. I asked if they could correct that in any further features - particularly given the stigma around fibro it's not helpful to miss it out. I don't know whether this segment was directly related but glad to have been acknowledged even ifs a coincidence.

The other point I made was that the Monday segment suggested a hospital in Reading were looking seriously at treatment for brain fog, in a long covid context - albeit of a managing type rather than a cure. I hope we can campaign for similar to be made available to fibro patients. It's the one symptom that for me has been pretty much entirely ignored - just something to be got on with. Even though with a job that is mentally, rather than physically exhausting, brain fog is the main work-related challenge for me. It's easy to feel a little resentful of all the attention given to long covid, but the main thing for me is that we make sure we benefit from what's being learned and see treatments applied to fibro patients where that's appropriate.
