Misdiagnosed!!

Hi everyone last may I started with leg pain and got worse and my knees then in nov I fell very Ill like flu symptoms pains everywhere my head I did not know where to put it so I diagnosed with PMR so put on steroids been on these for 3 months they were not helping the pain at all , yesterday went to see my rheumatologist and now he says I have fibromyalgia so now got to come of steroids asap in next 8 weeks so be gentle with me I’m new to this as I get brain fog.

Well I would take that as good news really. I have fibro and my mother has Polymyalgia (although I suspect she has fibro too after 3 years of Polymyalgia) and the drugs she has had to be on for Polymyalgia are destroying her bones amongst other things, her knees also seem to have been permanently damaged by Polymyalgia. Its a nasty condition.
