Unfortunately we do not have as much hope about this test. You can read more in this posthealthunlocked.com/fibromya...
Hi Maureen, just looked at this site and put my information in. Think we MIGHT be able to have the test here in UK. I’ll let you know what happens. Xx
Spider1 People in the UK have been able to have this test carried our but I would advise you to read the article referenced as it not only casts some significant suspicion on the test it really highlights concerns about the chief actors practices and questions his motives.
To my knowledge the UK people that have participated had to cover the expense.
Some further cautionary notes, seconding Des:
This blood test has absolutely nothing to do with the diagnostic criteria for fibro.
It measures cytokines, which are changed in various diseases, so not that specific.
It's not proven as a test for fibro & not accepted by researchers, it's a one man show, just like his believing a BCG vaccine was/is the cure for FM for some time, & more.
The >1000$ are paid by US insurances, I think to save more expensive diagnostics.
It may comfort people who need it & don't trust their docs & the diagnostic criteria, but it's very distressing for those previously diagnosed when it turns out negative.
