I'm so tired and in so much pain
Unfortunately lack of sleep appears to be a big problem with fibromyalgia. I average about four hours a night. I can’t remember the last time I had a full nights sleep, my body’s used to it now. Any less I can’t function and pain is amplified. I was diagnosed over ten years ago and I’m definitely worse now.
I hope and pray that a cure will be found in my lifetime.
It certainly hasn't for me, but I really hope I'm not representative of the majority.😬
I was diagnosed about 6 years ago, and I have gotten progressively worse every bloody year
😪. I now use a walking stick semi regularly and have a wheelchair for when I'm simply not able to do things like go round the shops with my daughter. I rely on medication to lessen my pain and to be able to sleep at all.
From being a very active A&E nurse and active Mum of 2 (one with ASD), I've become virtually housebound except for work, (which is now a very sedentary post, having been forced to change jobs several times due to my inability to stand or walk for more than 2-3mins).
I no longer recognize myself due to excessive weight gain due to medication side effects and inability to exercise as working wipes me out totally. I no longer even have the 'energy' to chat with my kids at the end of my working day, and I fall asleep by 7pm every night. Thankfully the kids are now young adults and are very understanding.
Omg!! What can we do?I'm 49 and this is hell!!!
I know things are going to get worse and I can't do a thing I'm scared I shouldn't be like this not at my age?
I feel your pain so much!!
I just don't want to be here anymore! It's not going to get any better and I'm lost!!
This is it!!
Sorry just a tad emotional!!
I just don't feel like I'm getting any support for this!
Sorry just venting this is no fun!!

I was diagnosed when I was in my early 20s I'm 44 now. I would my pain levels have improved greatly in that time particularly as I've upped my exercise levels. Unfortunately there are things that have got progressively worse and sleep is one of them.
Lack of sleep is still an issue for me, although has improved. My fibro has improved over the years, I have had to do quite a bit to get to that stage but I am so glad I did
What did you do to improve your symptoms?
It would be differen't for everyone, I had adrenal fatique along with thyroid troubles, very early menopause, numerous vitamin definancies, low stomach acid, IBS, Candida and various other aliments - so one by one I looked into them individually and addressed them, never all together because I had to get my body strong enough to deal with these changes, I was nearly house bound by this point. One thing that helped me greatly was a book written by Dr Leon Chaitow - it was priceless. I live a normal life now and can exercise and do weights regularly, whereas before lifting a mug of tea was a big effort.
Hi , Hope you don’t mind me asking but Which book did you read by Dr Leon Chaitow he’s written quite a few so would be interested to know which one helped you . Thanks in advance
