I have received my review letter... will I still need a reassessment does anyone know please... stresses me out.. it was originally extended to September next year because of COVID.. but not now... thanks in advance xx

Hi yes the DWP are catching up with the reviews which were extended during the pandemic. I think they are still doing telephone assessments but you could give them a call and ask. Hope it goes well

Hello, having received your review which was sent to you by the DWP to enquire how your health conditions are still affecting you in relation to the PIP descriptors since your last assessment. Warning don reply with bland answers like I am coping , about the same as before, a bit worst sometimes better than others. Look at the PIP descriptors and put on your review form what difficulties you encounter each and every time you attempt or try to preform each of the descriptors. Remember you have to be able to preform the PIP descriptors safely, repeatedly and in a timely manner. So please ready the descriptors and if needed write a draft copy before doing the final one if extra pages needed put your name and NI number on each sheet. Send and recent update of medications or medical information tests diagnosis that will support your review including health professionals reports or inputs.

Thank you - I feel for me there have been no hospital visits etc only pain meds because there are no other treatments for cfs and fibromyalgia - - due to the pandemic I am on the waiting list for a support worker and have also since my last assessment been diagnosed with PTSD which affects my ability to drive massively to the point I dont drive anymore or rarely go out alone, I feel if I add all of this I will be called in and just cant cope with the thought of that - my main support person, my best friend has died and so would have to go alone - such a nightmare x

Treat it as a complete new assessment. My wife as just gone though this and was given a higher award without assessment. It was based on paper evidence alone. Basically I keep copies of all previous answers which I then enhance with what problems have become worse since the last assessment. I then provided written copies of doctors letters, physiotherapist reports etc. Remember there is no such thing as to much information.

Remember you can add extra sheets of paper to your form just sure your national insurance number and full name at the top.

That's actually an awesome site, I joined up because I have been allowed to do an up to date ESA50, the guides are very in depth and helpful.

Mine was extended to decorate this year but they then sent me a letter 4 weeks after tgey told.me it was extended that my review was due and sent me the normal long long form to fill in then called me to say I will be getting a letter with a date for assessment the following month that never happened then out of the blue the called me at 8.05 in the morning no warning no appointment and wanted to do the assessment as normal they lied again I called for a copy of the assessment 5 months on I got another call the woman was quite threatening about why do I want a copy your not gonna get any more money your just gonna waste time I told her I want a copy and don't know why she is calling they should have sent one within 10 days and would be taking advice about reporting her the call ended and 2 days later a full copy of the report came lies lies lies only good thing was that I got my enhanced back it is a horrible thing to have to keep going through on the report it stated at the end that my condions will still be the same and liky to have gotten worse on my next review so it begs the questions why would you review someone who they admit will have at least no change and will still be entitled to enhanced ridiculous system

It’s a joke from beginning to end... someone posted about actually training to be one of these assessors and how they are told to lie... they laugh at illnesses and say they don’t exist... so much more that I can’t remember now... if that was me I would have recorded the lot of it and outed them... xx

I bought a recorder to tape the assessment when they called but as they never told us they would be calling after an hour they stopped the review and said that cause it was causing me to much stress as I have a bad stammer they would need to call back another day and do the assessment again my hubby was not happy with them at all then out of the blue they called again he told them this was not acceptable they then said a manager would be calling again our of tge blue this time to say they where gonna do a paper review due to my speech the paper review stated no points for communication I laughed no way have they read not only my medical reports but obviously there own they stopped the assessment cause they could not really under stand me and was taking them to lo g to get the answer I hate them

I sent mine in June. Had a call with out any notice in Sept to be told I need to have another f/f rang pip asked if they know when got told no idea so up to now I've been waiting 24 wks .keep getting told not to think about it I have copd on top of fibro so we will c .hope yours isn't along
