Hi, same. My award was to be reviewed in September and also had a letter saying due to backlog it would be extended for another 12 months. 2 weeks ago had a txt followed by a letter I have a phone consultation tomorrow at 9.20am!!!!! As we all do I'm absolutely dreading it. So just be aware it could happen to you too. X
Hi There,Yes this happened to me, have been waiting for my review since December 2022, got a letter in September 23 stating that my claim was extended till October 2024. Had my review on 14th November just gone, so get prepared it probably will be early in the new year. Good Luck 👍
I think mine is due round January I've had it for two years so there right on the dot, maybe I'll get an extension but I don't think so because I'm 66 in August and I will be able to get my pension x
Hi, mine has come as a review form yesterday I have to have it in for boxing day? When there not even open 😁 I'm really getting stressed but it is what it is. 😭 X Sheena x
Hi, I received my renewal form on 23rd December last year and filled it in after a couple of weeks because I could only do it bit by bit and I did ring them to explain that this was the case and they accepted that and did send a letter out confirming that. I had an issue with my mobility car, motorbility kept sending me letters asking me to change my car due to the fact that I had the car for 5yrs when usually it’s only 3. The issue after the pandemic caused this because there weren’t any new cars coming through due to a problem with the chips. As you probably know you need to have an award with 12 months left on it to order a new car but I didn’t have this so was stuck in limbo. In August out of the blue a letter came extending my award for 12 months so we ordered the new car but I was disappointed after filling the form in thinking I’ve got to go through it all over again in 12 months time. Last week a letter came off them and my heart was thudding as I opened it dreading what it was about and to my complete surprise it was a new award that lasts until November 2027 so maybe they are starting to catch up or maybe they are giving awards out for longer to clear the backlog. I hope this also works out for you because it really helps when we don’t have to stress about it, only people who fill out these forms and have to waits for the results truly understand how difficult it is. Please take care xx
Yes, I agree! My stomach turns too, most of the time really don’t have energy to deal so leave things. I get the feeling they are using evidence we give them to extend, as long as letters where we’ve seen someone NHS recently. Thanks for your reply x
I am still waiting for my PIP Appeal tye person reviewed my PIP made a statement that" I am not in chronic, severe pain or have fatigue and able to complete tasks in a tomely manner." It takes me ages to get ready for work in he morning. I am getting up two hours before I leave. It hurts my hands and legs whilst I have to put on my compression tights. This is due to the Lyphoedema in my leg's.
I cannot believe the length of time it has taken it must be coming up for a year or more now.
Goodmorning yes it's common to have it extended I myself had that happen then 2 weeks later had text saying they are looking at my paperwork and about 2 weeks later had another text saying date of phone assessment so not a given not to hear from them for another year best of luck hope it helps
I’ve been waiting since June for my review decision. I’ve had texts saying they have my form and will still get pip until they get round to making their decision. From what I can gather from other people on this site there is a big back log
