Hi, I’ve been getting pains in my body for 1 year now and I’ve had every blood test going. It started off when I had little trace of vitamin D in my body, once corrected I still had pains around my body eg shooting pains numbness and fatigue. The doctor and Rhumatoligist think it’s fibromyalgia but won’t say that’s what it is, they say it’s probable fibromyalgia is this right or am I getting fobbed off. Many thanks claire

New to fibromyalgia
Yes I have same symptoms . U do get fobbed off . No test will come back has u can't get a blood test . Only diagnose over the phone and to see doctor . U will be vitamin D definancy iam too . I have just been told I have it too . I got told from my physio I was shocked has I got told all sorts 2 year ago first was sciatica which def wasn't has its spreaded . Hope it has helped .
Thanks Michelleswshopping, they also said it could be sciatica but it definitely isn’t. I have an assessment with pip on Saturday and I was worried what they would say if I was down as probable fibromyalgia. How do you get a diagnosis as this is causing me to stress even more. Thanks for your advice
Yep they with say sciatica i got the same until I got a different doctor. Itz hard for diagnosis has all blood test will be clear u have to do it over the phone with do tor tell them your symptoms . Well done for getting that far with PIP and good look . I was thinking of trying has I saw on the sight u can claim . I spoke to someone todaY from fibro Nd can't believe wH they ask you . So I'm not sure emotionly I xould do it . Incase I can't get it speak to them first so your aware . X
I’m thinking the same because they won’t give me a clear diagnosis, my gp doctor says : yeah it’s probably fibro that’s what the rheumatologist said when she informed him about my symptoms, he said it’s not necessary to see me cuz thats what he thinks it is, I have had all sorts of blood tests, mri brain and spine, I had my nerves checked by my gp all good, today I’ve got my first appointment with pain clinic let’s see where it gets me, try everything until you get the diagnosis, I do understand it’s frustrating and tiring to explain what you’re feeling over and over again but we need to be sure what’s going on with our bodies
Stay safe I hope you’ll get help eventually.
I was two years before I got a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. All blood tests and xrays unremarkable. Over the years my range if spinal movements were unchanged and I suggested it was fibromyalgia and they had to succumb to my way of thinking and it is defo fibro. Keep going back to get meds to control the pain and keep as active as possible. Good luck to you.
Ask to be tested for MS too. X
