chest pain and fibromyalgia

i have fibro and chronic pain in most of my body but recently I have been getting pains in my chest when out walking it feels like angina pains but dose not respond to gtn spray and doctors have checked my heart over and over again, dose anyone get chest pains with fibromyalgia ?

Hello, I am sorry to hear of your chest pain. May I ask if the Pain is between your ribs or around your sternum (breast bone)? If it is, then it may be the condition called costochondritis, which is caused by pain and inflammation in the muscles between your ribs, which is often found in people with fibromyalgia. It can be very painful. Perhaps you could ask your doctor if this is a possibility and I think that anti-inflammatory tablets can be helpful.

Look up sphincter of oddi dysfunction. My chest pain comes on when v.tired and doing too much (have also had gall bladder problems, now removed but bouts of pain continue) and this is the only thing that fits. I am waiting to see gastro-entology.

Hi, Yes I get the same pains when walking, docs thought it was angina and like you gnt did nothing, had angiogram and all is fine. Still the pain is around the breast bone, especially when walked to far. So I will be asking my doc about this costo whatsit,( post it note, ) maybe you should also.

I was recently taken to hospital with this after collapsing in a shop unable to get a proper breath, doctor said inflamed cartilage. Was unable to take deep breath due to pain/ pressure in chest, causing hands and feet to go numb and extreme dizziness.
