I have B12 deficiency and fir several years suffering, but internist told me may also I have fibromyalgia too since before my b12 deficiency I had stiffness in my limbs muscle and couldn't walk up on stairs but I didn't visit any doctor in that time. Now I'm injecting B12 but my symptoms are changing and my GO told me may be other things involved like fibromyalgia. I want to know how to find out I have fibromyalgia and what are treatments

Hello Hamayeshguy, I am sorry you are ailing, especially when your diagnosis is not yet specific. It can be frustrating. My FM was diagnosed by an intern. I had been going to the same rheumatologist for years and they kept testing for lupus which was not present. However, to confirm it is FM your GP will send you to a specialist for diagnosis, then, if confirmed, you will try out medication that works for you. It is a long process. No one on this platform will give you a diagnosis and no one will tell you what medication to take. If diagnosis is confirmed, please, read as much literature about the condition as possible and understand how it afflicts you. We are not all affected the same way. Many doctors are ignorant about the condition and they learn from you the sufferer. Hope that is helpful.

First thing is to see your GP. They can then refer you to specialist if needed,

Symptoms of Fibro can also be symptoms of numerous other things, so you need to get it properly diagnosed.

Hi, my doctor referred me to a Rheumatologist. If you are in UK, if you get no news of the date speak to the hospital Patient liason service where you were referred. 'pals' They got me an appointment, then I phoned each week (not Mondays very busy) and got an earlier cancellation appointment. They test to rule out things. Blood/Urine. Nerve conduction.Don't be put off by being told you're a 'complex case'. I self referred to a physiotherapist and she got me a spinal scan. Best of luck I know it's very tough having to fight to get help, when you feel awful.

I want to try electrical muscle stimulator along with taking iron pills and may I also try CBD oil vape for mood enhancement along with injection to see how it can help to back to normal life. I think myoglobin and iron along with injection mood enhancer like CBD oil vaping may help to get better faster. If I get good results then I'll let you know. In the meantime as soon as I started to take Iron pills with painkillers naproxen and Tylenol I feel much better.

I would get your D levels checked too, as well as folate and ferritin. Do you know if your thyroid levels have been checked?Karen
