i did have constant headaches until i found out it was an allergic reaction along with all the asthma symptoms and constant itching. I had always thought it was just a tension headache as it was like a band round my head getting tighter, i also have trouble with my sinuses but this was also part of the allergic reaction. I have 4 things i have trouble with, But as one of them is in virtually everything (sulphates) I can't avoid them completely. I was diag at hosp with 3 allergies (sulphates, nickel, cobalt) and i figured i had problems with Milk fats through a process of elimination then reintroduction.

It maybe worth doing an elimination of things you eat/drink daily or see if any of your meds have headaches as side effects. The other thing is you don't say how long this has been happening, is it an always done it or happened recently. Is it the same type of headache everyday?

Now I'm down to a once a week headache(migraine) but that started at age 7 when i got my nose broken.

I started migraines when I was 11 and was plagued with them for years, but when I was diagnosed with Hughes and put on aspirin then warfarin I rarely have one unless my inr is too low. I still have headaches which are mainly due to muscle tension in my neck and they spread from my neck and over my head and my eyes ache. I find neck and head massage helps - I can do the head bit and my hubby does the neck bit if he's around.

I get constant pain in my head, the right side, radiating from my neck, over the top of my head and into my right eye. I feel like someone is punching it from behind and it is really sensitive to touch on the eyelid. I am very sensitive to light and yesterday when wearing sunglasses my head is tender. A no win situation.I also get pain in my cheek, jaw and nose, sometimes in my tongue. I believe mine is Occipital Neuralgia, however it has got so bad that I would like to be referred to a neurologist to have more tests as I can't go on being fobbed off. Lynn....any advice?? xx

Hey Lynn, thanks for your detailed answer. Can I have your knowledge and brain...if you could just download onto a memory stick and post it to me I'll upload it all into my brain!!!

My chiro says it's occipital neuralgia and he can release the nerve with a nice crick of my neck, however I can't keep paying the money to see him everytime when I am skint!!

I am willing to go on a waiting list for a specialist, I am sure I can put up with it for a little longer as i have had it for atleast the last 9 years!!! I guess watching the video that mojoman put on one of my blogs about the flexion and extension of the neck and the MRI scans made me start thinking. All of what the Dr spoke about, the symptoms, hairdresser sinks, looking at the stars, standing with you eyes closed and falling over apply to me.

I guess as the drs just say it's whiplash i am at the point where I want and need more specific answers and diagnosis as you know with your body when something is wrong and as i feel I am being fobbed off with the fact i just have FMS now I am not willing to accept that anymore. Especially when hey, guess what i think my UTI has come back, white blood cells are present and increased again.
