I have multiple alarms and reminders for everything for to fibro fog

All the time, i started to think I had dementia at one stage I ended up paying for a private MRI brain scan it was very scary now I can't be asked to worry about it

Hi Hardy99In answer to your question, YES ALL THE TIME! I can’t remember who said what, where I’ve been, what I’m supposed to be doing, plots to films or telly programs ( if I can bothered to watch them) and I ask the same question several times.

For me, fibro fog is as big an issue as the pain and stiffness. I have alarms on my phone for when to take tablets and for appointments etc.and often find that I shut down or disappear inside myself as conversations are too taxing and difficult to follow. I’m sure it’s the same for a lot of us.

Good luck in your foggy struggles, it’s no fun is it!

Yes, my 'fog' has become worse since Covid; i think much of it is lack of stimulation.

Absolutely. I miss working in person with colleagues and students. Zoom meetings are so different and distancing.

Hi Hardy99

Sadly yes it's very common I'm dreadful so now I put alarms on my phone to remind me to take pills or anything I need reminding of ie Dentist, Hospital appointments etc it mostly works for me but do still forget so also put the snooze on to. Hope that helps

Yes I get this all the time and it’s worse if I take gabapentin for the pain. I lose concentration and that’s not good when you need to write a law essay.

I can't remember what I was about to Google this morning before I ended up on FMAUK.

I also make lists but forget to look at them until it's too late.

All the time. I'm also menopausal though, so it could be that. Or both. With the tablets: I keep mine in a pill despenser box, simply because if I can't remember if I took them I can look to see if today's compartment is empty. Speaking of which ... no I hadn't taken any this morning!

Yes, frequently! Can also struggle to remember a simple word when in conversation, and feel a right idiot. If I need to make a call to customer services or anyone 'official,' I always write down what I need to say beforehand, in case I get a 'fog' in the middle.

One time I had a problem with my router, and couldn't remember what it was called! After several minutes describing what it looked like, I gave up and said I'd ring them back later. LOL.

I find over tiredness often adds to the problem. Trying to find the best medication, and having to deal with side effects causes a great deal of memory lapses. Switching from one medication to another, even with GP's advice, is even worse! So much more to Fibro than just dealing with chronic pain.
