Does anyone here know any research that has explored PIP outcomes influenced by either locality, assessment centre or race.
I am asking this question because l noticed in my new area l moved to over a year ago that people in my close, have a higher number of enhanced PIP components compared to my former area who where mostly turned down or given in rare cases standard PIP components despite in some cases very severe disabling conditions.

I would be mindful of your population size that you are using to compare but I am not aware of anything out there that has looked into this but I am sure there will be something. But not specifically involving fibro at the least.
Thanks for your reply, l have not done a full research yet, hence am asking if anyone know of any research done, involving fibromyalgia and other disabilities, am comparing based on two demography that are similar in population size only .
Try asking your MP to do the research. I did this last year when asking how many women between 60 and 66 had put in a claim for PIP because they could not cope with working and were not entitled to claim state pension because of the increase in age before the state pension was paid. It made interesting reading. Seems if the women are still entitled to PIP after the date their state pension is payable the government will be paying out more than they anticipated. My MP was interested enough to put his research team on it and the figures came back within a few weeks.
Hi, hope you dont mind me sayin that there is a petition to bring the age for both men and women down to 60 years. The petion ends 21st Occtober and if gets up to 100,000 it will get debated in Parliament. I am not sure if I allowed to put this petition on this site.
Already signed this it up to 85048 we need more people to sign, however the DWP have put a statement out on how much it would cost to reverse it,. I still signed it.
