Rexulti/Pregablin weight gain??

I got put on Pregablin in July and Rexulti in August. I’ve gained 20 pounds since starting these. Anyone else relate? I’m really struggling with this

I found I gained some weight when starting my duloxtene few years back but the positive s out weighed me feeling better in myself. It leveled off and I try keep as active as possible. Have a chat with your doc/practioner nurse if you have concerns . My practioner nurse did weight, BP , if you feel it’s crashing on differently appointment this week, take care x

I found Pregablin horrendous for weight gain I went from anorexic to chunky within 6 months. It made me so hungry plus it only worked when I was on Gabapentin at the same time which the doctors wouldn't allow so I came off it. At the time it was a very expensive drug and I had to "prove" I was in enough pain to justify the expense of it, so it was all a bit of a nightmare really. I wouldnt go back on it, although I was on Gabapentin for quite along time in the end. I came all meds to have my children and never went back on anything afterwards.

Hi, I have gained 2.5 stone since being on the max dosage for 2 years. I don’t feel like myself as I have a bloated abdomen. My kidneys are suffering, and so I am holding more water than I used to.

It’s because of this side effect that I have reduced my dose by a third, I have almost immediately started to slim, this must be accredited to my improved kidney function.

I will have to stay on 40mg for now as this is still required, my spine is worsening and the fibromyalgia is still here together with poly arthritis.

I have gained about 2 stone. Even when dieting, I gained. Totalling fed up. Even though pregablin is working, I'm thinking of reducing. Think I'd rather have pain and lose some weight as I have to lose 3 stone before having knee replacement

So do you think Pregablin makes you gain weight as I have no long started it and that is the last thing I want !
