Pregabalin

Thoughts on pregabalin please doctor has suggested it?? Back to the rheumatologist more bloods to be taken and a mri to be done sounds like my knees are giving up on me.... doctor did say I have to wean myself off of my 40mg of citalopram and start pregabalin low dose as it could cause me to fit????? Sounded scary 😧..... any views would be much appreciated guys 🤗

From my personal experience of the side effects of pregabalin I would not recommend it,however it certainly did what it was supposed to for the first few years. Unfortunately it has messed up my short term memory a bit, nothing too terrible just very forgetful and struggle for words sometimes, plus softened my gums considerably so I now have a lot of recession. So, in a nutshell, look at the potential side effects and consider your pain levels and decide from there. I m not sure that I would have gone on it if I’d known what it would do but that’s kind of like biologics and their side effects, we’ll do whatever it takes to feel better 🤷🏻‍♀️
