Morning all, hope you,re all feeling"ok" ish today. Just wanted to ask you all ,who are on pregabalin, and also amitriptiline for fibromyalgia, if you have had any side affects from it. I have been on amitriptiline for years and it,s been fine for me,but my pain has increased lately and my GP has suggested pregabalin. Anyone had any unpleasant side effects from this drug? I know we all react differently to medication, but thought I,d ask, what you all thought of it. Have a good day.

Hi I have been on pregablin for a couple of years! No problems so good luck with it I do find it is the only thing that helps at night!

I have been on Pregablin for a numbr of years and it is the only thing that helps with the burning, knifing neuropathic pain. For the first couple of weeks I felt very drowsy and out of it but those side effects gradually got better and I would not be without it now. Good luck with trying it.

Hi Iamatmywitsendnow

I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing extra difficulties with pain and I sincerely hope that Pregabalin works for you.

I am on Pregabalin but I have only been taking it for a couple of months. I have noticed some side effects (like more headaches and drowsiness) but it is early days for me.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi, I have recently started on pregabalin - I have managed to greatly reduce my use of painkillers and at the same time increase my excersize, so I am really pleased with the result. I do feel it has increased my appetite though, but still worth it. At first there are some side effects but they wear off quickly.

I tried Pregabalin but I'm afraid I did have some nasty side-effects so I've had to go back on gabapentin. As you say, we're all different! I think it's definitely worth trying.

Good luck!
