I stopped doing crochet and knitting many years ago when I had a cat; knitting with soggy wool is not nice. My cat loved playing with the crochet needle and I would find it impossible to continue. Most of my crochet was very fine work taught to me by my grandmother who was brilliant at needlework. Somewhere there are some crocheted, Lacey bedspreads she did but I’ve no idea where they are.

Neat work. I admire your industry.

I decided to learn to crochet so I had something to do while I was in hospital beginning of December. After a few granny squares nd a disastrous hat for my husband (which he wears in our garden but not in public haha) I made this for my daughter. Im really enjoying it. Just finished a finger crocheted blanket for my other daughter. Wool is costing me a bomb.

Gosh, hats off to you! I used to crochet more than sixty years ago but I never did anything that would have to be sewn up when finished. Found it disappointing that I'd have to use a different skill to get the item put together. My great aunt started me off and the rest I taught myself.
